FAQs

Q. What makes your work different from other photographers work?

A. We take all of our photos in intimate, relaxed settings and try to use natural lighting as often as possible. Most importantly, our sessions and weddings are shot very candidly and fun with gentle direction if needed. We pride ourselves on offering individual experiences for each & every client, we achieve this because we listen to what you want and take into consideration those shots that you have always dreamed about and then we take that inspiration and make it your very own. Our job is to look for those one off interactions and special moments that take your breath away.

Q. How do we reserve your services for our wedding day?

A. When you are ready to book in your date, you will need to do so quickly, popular dates tend to book out fast and we do not reserve your wedding date in our calendar without a paid $500 non-refundable retainer and a signed contract. More information about this will be provided to you once you have made your enquiry.

Q. When should i have you arrive to shoot my wedding?

A. We like to arrive when the bride is getting her makeup done. That gives us a good starting point for the storyline in your trailer and wedding film. However, each wedding timeline is unique. Talk with us about your day and we can discuss when we should arrive to best capture your day. We typically finish about 30 minutes after the dance floor opens, which usually gives us time to capture enough dancing footage (without getting repetitive).

Q. Will we get a print release with our digital negatives after the wedding?

A. Since we include high resolution digital negatives with all of our packages you will receive a full print release for the images you have purchased. Our contracts do state that Little Lovebug Photography retains the original copyright, however your print release gives you licence to print and to share your images with whomever you like, whenever you like with limitations only to monetary gain or commercial use.

Q. Why are all your wedding films so short? My parents wedding video is 2 hours long!

A. Gone are the days of the long, boring wedding video. We cut out the long and cut out the boring and have created a short form wedding film. We will take the most interesting parts of your day and weave them into a cinematic storyline that you will be proud to share with family and friends. A few weeks before your wedding, we’ll have a phone conference. During that phone conference, we’ll go over your wedding day timeline and any specifics for video coverage. We also talk about what portions of your day you can’t do without in your wedding film. So, going into editing, we’ll have a pretty good idea of what you’d like included in the final cut.

Q. Who choose the music that will be in my trailer and wedding film?

A. You are hiring us as artists to create a cinematic wedding film that best represents your day. Music is very important to us…it moves a piece and helps tell a story. If you really want to have that Ed Sheeran song in your wedding film, but we don’t feel it fits the mood or feeling of your day, we’re not doing our job. However, we want your film to represent you…not us! We try to find music that is off the beaten path; music that can potentially withstand the test of time. All of the music we use is licensed through various licensing agencies. So, we can try to accommodate your musical requests. However, we prefer to have full creative control. Give us a test…check out some trailers on our blog and listen to some of the music we have found and used.

Q  Do we get all the raw photos/footage?

A. Included with whatever collection you choose is a wedding film and DVD extras (which usually include your vows in their entirety) , We use other portions of your day; from the bridal prep to the guests arriving, cocktail hour, photo session, and dancing to create your trailer (if ordered) and wedding film. We don’t exclude moments we know you’ll want to see. The same applies with our photography. we choose the very best selection of  all images from the day. Each image that doesn't make the final collection is discarded for a reason, they are either unflattering or test shots used to make sure we get the perfect shot you received.

Q. How soon after will we receive our photos/film?

A. All of our editing is done "in house' and therefore the time required to produce the finished product varies dependant on current workloads. As as estimate Little Lovebug Photography & Film will aim to produce the final product within 4 months from your wedding date, though at times longer may be required. Similarly, we will aim to produce the final product quicker if the wedding is during an 'off peak' season.

Q. Do you photograph/film elopements?

A. Of course! Depending on our availability and the number of hours you have set aside for photography we have special rates and weekday pricing for weddings and elopements.
